Comebye is a self-hostable control plane for Docker — Kubernetes is next. Enroll a host with one command, deploy through a canary, and roll back the moment something looks wrong. No lock-in, no surprise bills, no phoning home.

Comebye holds root on your hosts, so we build like it. Inspect the thing that runs as root: the agent is Apache-2.0 and outbound-only. We run an adversarial audit loop against our own product and commission an independent pentest before beta — and there's no default telemetry, ever.
The server is source-available today and converts to Apache-2.0 on a fixed two-year timer, release by release. Licenses are offline-verifiable files with no kill switch — we are technically incapable of remote revocation. License expiry never stops your containers.
